In a lively segment on "CBS Mornings," journalist Gayle King, 69, unabashedly flirted with rock star Lenny Kravitz, 59, during an interview promoting his new album, "Blue Electric Light." King's candid and humorous remarks caught Kravitz off guard, creating a memorable moment on the show.

"Do you have a significant other in your life, and can I beat her ass if she is?" King asked bluntly. The "American Woman" singer responded with a laugh, visibly surprised by her boldness. King quickly clarified that she is "nonviolent," before pressing further about Kravitz's love life.

Kravitz, maintaining his charm, shared that he is currently single and open to finding love. "When you desire something, you’re looking for it, but I find that when you don’t look is when you find it," he mused. He admitted that despite previously claiming he was ready for a serious relationship, he had never felt more prepared than he does now.

King and Kravitz's playful exchange continued, with Kravitz revealing he hasn't been seriously involved since his brief fling with Mexican model Ana Paula Valle in 2023. His daughter, Zoë Kravitz, humorously noted during his Walk of Fame ceremony that his "relationship with a netted shirt is probably [his] longest one."

Both King and Kravitz have experienced high-profile marriages and subsequent divorces. Kravitz was married to actress Lisa Bonet from 1987 to 1993, while King was married to William Bumpus from 1982 to 1993. King, who recently posed for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, joked about sending a copy to her ex-husband, to which he responded with admiration for her appearance.

The interview, full of candid moments and laughter, highlighted King and Kravitz's enduring charisma and openness about their personal lives.
