Hallie Biden, the widow of Beau Biden and former partner of Hunter Biden, is set to marry Ohio financial broker John Hopkins Anning this weekend, according to Page Six.
The couple has been engaged for over a year, opting to wait until Hallie's younger child graduated from high school before tying the knot. A marriage license for Hallie, 50, and Anning, 53, appeared in Hamilton County, Ohio, confirming their plans.
Hallie was married to Beau Biden, the late son of President Joe Biden, from 2002 until his death from brain cancer in 2015. She began dating Beau’s brother, Hunter Biden, in 2017, and the couple stayed together for two years.
Hallie and Anning have reportedly been together since at least 2021. They have shared numerous photos from their travels, including trips to Sea Island, Georgia, and Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France
.
Hallie is also expected to be a key witness in Hunter Biden's upcoming federal trial regarding alleged gun crimes. President Biden recently made a surprise visit to Hallie's Delaware home ahead of the trial, set to begin on June 3. Hunter, who split from Hallie in 2019, faces additional legal challenges, including a trial in Los Angeles in September for allegedly failing to pay over $1.4 million in federal taxes from 2016-2019.
Despite the legal turmoil surrounding Hunter, Hallie’s upcoming wedding marks a new chapter in her life. The couple did not respond to requests for comment regarding their nuptials.
