Nairobi, Kenya - The city of Nairobi is grappling with the mysterious death of a prominent businessman, Somesh Ramesh, whose lifeless body was discovered in his car under suspicious circumstances.

On the morning of May 12, 2024, the quiet Nyari Estate was shaken by the grim discovery of Ramesh’s body inside his vehicle, which was found in a ditch along Ngecha Road. The 54-year-old Indian national, known for his successful landscaping business, appeared to have suffered a violent end, with three stab wounds marking his demise.

The case took a perplexing turn as detectives revealed that Ramesh had left his residence on the night of May 11, shortly after receiving a mysterious phone call from unidentified individuals. This detail has led investigators to believe that Ramesh’s death was not an accident but a calculated murder.

Police are now piecing together the events of that fateful night, tracing Ramesh’s last movements and conducting interviews with his close family members. The initial findings suggest that Ramesh was killed at a different location before his body was staged in the car to simulate an accident. Further, there was an attempt to burn the vehicle, which ultimately failed.

This incident has drawn parallels with another recent case involving Jayesh Kumar, whose wife was found to be in communication with his killers. Kumar’s murder, which occurred on February 14, involved a brutal acid attack in Lukenya, Machakos county. His spouse, Velji Jayaben Jayeshikumar, confessed to hiring suspects to abduct and punish her husband following a domestic dispute, a plan that tragically escalated to murder.

As the Nairobi police delve deeper into these unsettling events, the community remains on edge, hoping for swift justice and answers to the many questions surrounding the untimely deaths of these businessmen.
