Australian model Ellidy Pullin faced heartbreak when her partner, Olympic snowboarder Alex “Chumpy,” tragically drowned while spearfishing at the age of 32. However, 15 months after his death, Ellidy made a remarkable decision: she used post-mortem sperm retrieval to give birth to their child.
The couple had been together for nearly a decade, and their love story took a heartbreaking turn when Alex passed away. Ellidy shared her final moments with him, the shocking discovery of the tragedy, and her choice to pursue this unconventional path to motherhood.
“It was just a normal day,” Ellidy recounted on the “Good Mourning” podcast. “We woke up like any other day—the sun was shining, it was a beautiful day. Chump was like, ‘Do I go for a surf today or do I go for a dive today?’”
