Montecito, California — Conway The Machine, the former Shady Records artist, has stepped forward to address his recent mention in Benzino’s latest diss track aimed at Eminem. The song titled “Rap Elvis” takes a jab at the Detroit Hip Hop icon, and Conway finds himself caught in the crossfire.

In the track, Benzino taunts Em with the line: “Okay, you found 50, and you put on five Detroit ni–as / Rest in peace to the best one, the rest of them sound iffy / So let’s go down your stable / Gunn left your label / Benny left your label / Con’ (Conway) left your label / Royce left your label, Joe Budden left your label (Damn), Ortiz left your label, know Crooked I couldn’t save you (Nah), Yelawolf been out here floppin’ and where the hell Ca$his at though? (Where he at?) / Heard from Obie Trice only twice and not a word from Stat Quo (Not a word) With all them false lines that you pitched them / Shady Records sound like less of a name and more like a description (Stop it).”

Conway swiftly responded on Instagram, setting the record straight:

  1. He didn’t leave Shady Records: Conway clarifies that he didn’t voluntarily leave the label. His contracts were simply fulfilled, and he never harbored any ill feelings toward Eminem, Rosenberg, Mikael Heron, 50 Cent, or Shady Records. They provided him, a street-savvy individual from Buffalo who had faced adversity, with a chance to break free from the hood and support his family.

  2. His loyalty remains with Eminem: Conway emphasizes that he will always stand by “big bro” Eminem, appreciating the opportunity he was given.

The post garnered support from fellow artists. Busta Rhymes replied with “Crown” emojis, while Kid Vishis commented, “Benzino just not meant to win.” Marv Won, who recently backed Eminem after the Benzino diss, responded with folded hands emojis.

Conway’s message serves as a reminder that loyalty and gratitude transcend industry feuds. Amidst the verbal sparring, the bonds forged in adversity endure.
