Bungoma, Kenya – The spirit of patriotism was palpable early this morning as residents of Bungoma lined up from as early as 5 AM to secure a spot at the Masinde Muliro Stadium for the Madaraka Day celebrations. This annual event commemorates the day Kenya attained self-rule on June 1, 1963, a significant milestone in the country’s journey to full independence.
